Swaye Group is a South Devon electrical and solar company based at Unit CF16, Redlake Trading Estate, Ivybridge, PL21 0EZ.
We’re owner-led: our founder and director, Ashley Ward, has 15 years in the industry, an eye for detail and a passion for going the extra mile. Swaye is growing because customers keep asking us back, not because we buy leads and disappear.
On the solar side, that means MCS-certified solar panels, battery storage and EV chargers, designed around your property and installed by our own team. We even work with architects, structural engineers and planning councils on new builds, so the solar is planned in from the start.

How we work

Our own team
Your job is done by the Swaye team: skilled electricians, reliable labourers and roofers, backed by our own accounts and office managers.
Survey first, honest advice
We look at your roof, your usage and your supply before we quote, and we talk you through realistic figures rather than headline numbers.
Clear estimates, no surprises
You get a full, clear breakdown within 5 working days, and the price you agree is the price you pay.
Boots off, dust sheets down
Shoes off or blue overshoes, dust sheets on every job, and we hoover, sweep and wipe as we go.
Clear communication
Phone lines are manned during office hours, and we keep you in the loop from the first call to the final certificate. No jargon, no ghosting.
Aftercare and paperwork
We commission the system, show you the app, hand over your certificates and MCS paperwork, and handle the National Grid (DNO) application for you.
A follow-up call
About a week after the job, we call to check you’re happy. Nothing is ever too much hassle.

MCS certified
The UK quality mark for small-scale renewables such as solar panels and battery storage, and required for Smart Export Guarantee payments.
RECC member
The consumer code for renewable installs, with clear rules on quotes, contracts, aftercare and complaints. It’s a Trading Standards approved code.
Renewables Excellence
We’re a Renewables Excellence certified installer, part of a trusted UK network of certified renewable-energy installers.
NICEIC Approved Contractor
Our electrical work is regularly assessed against BS 7671, the national wiring standard, so it’s independently checked, not just self-declared.
Part P registered
We design and certify domestic electrical work to current Building Regulations, including the electrical side of solar, batteries and EV chargers.
